About

Why Sukoon Money exists

Most money advice in India is either too complicated or too eager to sell you something. You go looking for a simple answer — which card, which fund, how much to save — and you leave with more jargon than you arrived with, and a nagging feeling that everyone in the room understood something you didn’t.

I started Sukoon Money to be the opposite of that.

Sukoon means peace. And that’s the whole idea here: money handled well shouldn’t feel like stress, spreadsheets, and second-guessing. For a salaried person, it should feel calm — because a steady salary is genuinely one of the best foundations for building wealth, even if no one ever tells you that. You know what lands in your account each month. That predictability is a superpower. This site is about learning to use it.

Who this is for

Sukoon Money is written for the salaried Indian professional — someone with a regular income, real responsibilities, and not a lot of spare time to decode financial products. If you’ve ever wanted someone to just explain credit cards, investing, insurance, loans, and tax in plain language — the way a knowledgeable friend would, without an agenda — this site is for you.

No hype. No “get rich” nonsense. Just clear, practical, been-there guidance you can act on.

Who I am

Vineet Dixit, founder of Sukoon Money

I’m Vineet Dixit, and I built Sukoon Money.

I’ve spent 15+ years working in financial services operations, across banking and financial processes for US and UK markets, before stepping out to build my own ventures. I hold an MBA in Finance, so the world of interest rates, credit, and financial products isn’t foreign territory to me — it’s where I’ve spent most of my career.

But here’s the honest part, and I think it matters: I’m not a SEBI-registered investment advisor, and Sukoon Money is not personalised financial advice. What I offer is education — clear explanations, frameworks, and the kind of practical guidance I wish someone had handed me earlier. Think of me as a peer who happens to have spent a career inside this industry, sharing what I’ve learned so you can make your own informed decisions. For anything that depends on your specific situation, a qualified professional is always worth consulting.

I’d rather earn your trust by being straight with you than by pretending to be something I’m not. That’s the standard I hold every article here to.

How I keep this honest

Sukoon Money is free to read, and it stays that way because some of the links on this site are affiliate links — if you sign up for a product through one, I may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you. That never changes what I recommend or how I write about a product. You can read exactly how this works on the How We Make Money page.

If a card, fund, or policy isn’t right for beginners, I’ll say so — commission or not.

Let’s build your Sukoon

Start with the pillar guide, The Salaried Indian’s Roadmap to Financial Freedom, and work through the topics that matter to you: credit cards, investing, insurance, loans, and tax. Take it one calm step at a time.

Welcome to Sukoon Money.
